Desiccant Dryers

Eliminating moisture from compressed air prevents the corrosion of piping systems and equipment that would result from prolonged exposure to water.  Kaeser’s Desiccant dryers use activated alumina to remove moisture down to a dew point of -100°F.  The activated aluminum used in the desiccant chambers has excellent absorption properties and as air travels through the chambers the moisture from the passing air is absorbed.  Heatless and heated blower purge models are available.

The KADW series offers several models that are able to process air flow from 5 to 25 SCFM.  KADW models are small enough to be wall-mounted which makes them ideal for localized air drying.  Ten minutes is the standard cycle time but when the timer is adjusted of four minute cycles the dryer is able to remove liquid down to -100°F dewpoint.

 Dryer Energy Management

Desiccant dryers are the most expensive dryers to operate, either through the use of valuable compressed air, or through separate energy supplied to heaters and / or blowers.  KAESER offers energy management systems for most models, saving energy when the dryer is operated at part capacity, or when ultra-low dewpoints are not required.
